Betsy was [probably] a daughter of PHILIP PARKER and his wife, SUSANNA. Betsy was born on August 13, 1825 in NY and she preceded her husband in death. She died at home in Riley, McHenry County, IL on March 28, 1890. Her parents were both from VT. William and Betsy are both buried in Riley Cemetery, McHenry County, IL.

JOHNSON about 1877 [probably in IL]. Carrie was born September 4, 1856 in Bergen, Norway, the daughter of CARL JOHNSON and his wife. Carrie emigrated in 1872. Emeline, a daughter of LEANDER COLLINS and JERUSHA O'CONNER, was born March 1860 in IL and died on August 8, 1934 in McHenry County, IL. Both Thomas and Emeline are buried in Riley Center cemetery.

She was born January 12, 1866 in DeKalb County, IL and she died October 23, 1940. [Per 1930 census records, Carrie’s parents were born in Canada.]

MILLEDGE on August 24, 1881 in Woodstock, McHenry County, IL [the wedding was performed by JH Johnson, a police magistrate (license 5801]. Charles was a son of HENRY MILLEDGE and BERTHINA WININGS. He was born about 1858 in Garden Prairie, McHenry County, IL.

Sadie was a daughter of JOHN A. GIBSON and his wife (MAIDEN NAME: MALMBERG). She was born August 6, 1883 in MN. Per the 1930 census, both her parents had been born in Sweden. Sadie died April 7, 1974 in Hennepin County, MN per the Social Security Death Index.

14. LEWIS/LOUIS SEYMOUR3 RATFIELD (THOMAS "TOM" HENRY2, WILLIAM1) was born January 12, 1895 in Marengo, McHenry County, IL and died December 31, 1964 in Los Angeles, CA. He married (1) ANNA CHANDLER about 1918 [possibly in Massachusetts where their daughter, Marion, was born]. Anna was born December 29, 1899 on Prince Edwards Island. He married (2) ROWENA ABBOTT December 29, 1924. She was born March 21, 1903 in Bellingham, WA [her father was born in WI and her mother was born in Edwards per 1930 census]. Rowena died in September of 1987 in Sedro Woolley, Skagit County, WA.

15. MERRITT ERVIN3 RATFIELD (THOMAS "TOM" HENRY2, WILLIAM1) was born November 28, 1897 in Riley Twp, McHenry County, IL and died 1954 in McHenry County, IL. He married MARGARET LOUISE SCHWARZ. She was born June 2, 1902 and died March 15, 1997 in Poplar Grove, Boone, IL.

His residence had been Highwood, Lake County, IL. He married LILLIAN MAY BROWN on September 16, 1899 in Chicago, Cook County, IL, a daughter of FRANCIS "FRANK" BROWN and NANCY "ANNA" SAXON. She was born June 25, 1879 in Logansport, Cass County, IN and died December 9, 1943 in Highwood, Lake County, IL. Arthur and Lillian are buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Hillside, Cook County, IL adjacent to Arthur’s parents.

Katie E Johnson died on June 23, 1963 and is buried with her first husband, Alfred Trout, and 3 of their 5 children in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Cook County, IL.

  • iv. ALFRED HENRY TROUT (jr) was born about August 20, 1921 and died [premature birth] in Elgin Twp., Kane County, IL on August 20, 1921 (cert. 30274). He is buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Cook County, IL with his parents and several of his siblings.
  • 28v. CLARENCE C “BUD” TROUT was born July 6, 1923 in Elgin (Huntley), Kane County, IL. He died on June 12, 2006 in Yuma, AZ. Memorial services were held at the Gila Mountain United Methodist Church following cremation arrangements at the Sunset Vista Crematory. Following his first wife’s death, “Bud” remarried to Gail I Billo (Mrs.) on November 21, 1978. His daughter and 3 stepsons survived him.

18. GEORGE WASHINGTON3 TROUT (ELIZABETH "ELIZA"2 RATFIELD, WILLIAM1) was born March 17, 1883 in IL and died after April 1930. He resided in Forest Park, Proviso Township, Cook County, IL in 1930. George married IDA “PEARL” (MAIDEN NAME UNKNOWN) about 1907 [probably in IL]. Per the 1930 census, George was 24 and Pearl 17 when they married. She was born in 1890 in IL [per the 1930 census, her father was born in OH and her mother in NY].
